BRIDGE OF THE BAREFOOT
(PONTE DEGLI SCALZI)
The modern Bridge of the Barefoot was projected by the engineer Eugenio Miozzi in 1931. The former bridge was a pertaining to the House of Hapsburg project and defined the first part of the Gran Canal. It is a single arch bridge: a sort of re-reading in modern key of the Rialto Bridge. In comparison to the latter there aren’t the stores but only a lithe structure.
